Peace Sense Poem

I am learning to write a Poem about Peace One Day using my senses.
I am so proud of being able to use good adjectives to describe what I am writing about in my poem.
It can be tricky to describe the senses.
The thesaurus can help me by giving me interesting words to use.
The next step for me in my learning is to write a more interesting poem.

ANZAC Recount

Here We Go!

It was 2am on the 25th of April 1915. It was pitch black. All you could see was the moon.  I was shaking uncontrollably because I was so terrified.

Suddenly a bullet flew past my ear.  I heard the bullet land in the water. I quickly tried to get my gun ready. I was so scared that I almost peed my pants. My whole body was shaking like I was burning. I tried to shot my gun but my gun was jammed. I quickly stole the gun from the dead soldier in front of me.

This was my final time to grab my gun. I squeezed my gun as hard as I could. I saw my friend with a gigantic hole in his head with brains and blood pouring out. We were so close to the shore! I could hear a huge large boom! I could smell everybody’s fear.

I am learning to write an interesting recount.
I am so proud of making my recount interesting by using similes and adjectives.
It can be tricky to the right adjectives for the right sentence.
The thesaurus can help me by giving me better words.
The next step for me in my learning is to write an even better recount.
